This book was truly a catapult to history, and a boomerang to today's placement for gay, black and feminine men such as myself. I appreciate Lester's initiation to address those very same thoughts, questions, statistics and issues that others are afraid to or wont address. This book not only teaches you a lesson, but more so forces you to open your eyes and see what's clearly been in front of you: the truth. Mentally, I narrowed down what it means to be gay, then what it means to be black and lastly, what it means to be feminine. Emotionally, I felt these characteristics mold my being. Physically, I walk in these shoes but I'm failed to see people like me being represented realistically in literature and media; and that's where the issues arise. We are often hidden, overlooked, misunderstood or simply isolated. How long will this last? How long will this be accepted? Why is this even a thing? This book is a bullhorn to those that want to tell our story, without the details, synopsis or facts. A very good read, for those that need to be read.
